American rapper, actor DMX dies at 50 years

American icon rapper and actor Earl Simmons popularly known as DMX has breathed his last after receiving the second heart attack that put him into a comma for a week.

The legendary rapper who has been on life support since 2nd April was pronounced dead today on Friday in a statement from his family.

DMX was taken to the hospital on April 2, after receiving a heart attack reportedly from an overdose.

On April 3rd it was announced that DMX was on life support and on April 4th, he was reported to be in a vegetative state. After several key organs stopped functioning including lungs, his manager reported on 7th April that he will be taken into a test to determine functionality of his brain and that the result will help his family determine what is the best for him.

Yesterday on 8th April, various tabloids including TMZ reported that his brain functioning was found unchanged and the following day, DMX was pronounced dead in a family statement that described him as a ‘fighter, who fought to the last’.

Born on December 18, 1970, DMX has died at 50 years of age. He is popular with songs like Party Up, Where the Hood At, X Gon’ Give it to Ya and many others.
