Ronaldo Snubs Manchester City To Join Rivals Manchester United

Manchester United have through their social media platforms announced the return of Christiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford. Ronaldo snubs Manchester City who at first were seen as favorites to land his signature but after tense talks withs Sir Alex Ferguson, the Portugal captained opted to join the Red Devils.

This Manchester United had to write on their website as regards the deal.

“Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.”

Christiano Ronaldo returns to Old Trafford a place he left 12 years ago when he joined Real Madrid for £80M. During his first stint at Old Trafford, Ronaldo netted 118 goals in 292 games and helping the club to a champions league title triumph in 2008 when they beat Chelsea in Moscow, Russia.

He also won three successive Premier League titles between 2006/07 and 2008/09, to be FA cup two League cups and one FIFA Club world cup.

Despite his old age, Ronaldo brings in the more much needed experience and proficiency, his striking prowess will truely help Manchester United especially in its quest for a first premier league trophy since 2013.

Manchester United needed a Striker who can score goals in the region of 20-25 and the arrival of the Portugal Captain and five Ballon d’Or winner means United have got the solution.

At Juventus, Ronaldo has been topscorer twice,in 2020/2021 season when he scored 29 goals and in 2019/2020 when he netted 31 goals.

With Bruno Fernandez, Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho all creating chances, Manchester United becomes a real Premier League title contender than ever before since 2013.
