Saudi Arabia agrees to allow Israel commercial flights in its airspace for the firs time

Published on

Saudi Arabia has agreed to allow commercial flights from Isreal to cross its airspace for the first time ever in Israel’s 7 decades history. This follows a high-level talks between Saudi officials and White House senior adviser Jared Kushner who is also a son in law of America’s president Donald Trump.

Last week, news reported that Saudi Arabia has agreed to establish normal relations with Israel after a secret meeting between Isreal Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Saudi Arabia Crown Prince. Saudi Arabia denied having held any secret meeting with Israel and also declared that as it mentioned earlier, Saudi Arabia will only normalize relations with Israel if Israel and its allies recognize the statehood of Palestine.

President Donald Trump’s 4 year reign has seen Israel establish relations with three Arab Countries of UAE, Sudan and Bahrain. With the easing of relations with Middle East’s largest economy, Trump has given Israel a gift no other U.S president would offer.
