WhatsApp Officially launches Desktop Application

Its almost 16 months since Whatsapp released its first web application, but now it has something better for it’s users that makes the application easily accessible on Desktops, both Windows and Mac unlike before when users accessed it through emulators of their site.
The Whatsapp company team announced through a blog post on their website that their application isn’t different from WhatsApp Web but rather its an extension of your phone to create a synchronization of messages and conversations between both devices.
Today we’re introducing a desktop app so you have a new way to stay in touch anytime and anywhere – whether on your phone or computer at home or work. Like WhatsApp Web, our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone: the app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device.
Just like WhatsApp web, the sign in procedures haven’t changed. To use the application, users have to open the application and scan the QR code using the WhatsApp Application on their phone then they are automatically logged in.” The Whatsapp team posted.
This has come just a month after WhatsApp releasing it’s end to end encryption aimed at making communication via WhatsApp more private from hackers. sort of like a face-to-face conversation and not prone to cyber criminals or hackers.
