State house confirms, Museveni will attend today’s debate

The office of the president has confirmed that president Museveni will attend today’s Presidential debate after days of bias as to whether he will attend or not.
Via the official facebook page of State House Uganda, they posted confirming that the president will be around and that Shaka Ssali has remained the host of the debate. “President Museveni will be at the second ‪#‎UGDEBATE16 later this evening at Serena Hotel” via Sate House Uganda “Retired journalist Joel Kibazo, Makerere University don Suzie Muwanga and Straight Talk Africa host Shaka Ssali will moderate the debate”
President Museveni refused to attend the first presidential debate saying that it is “a school kids debate” and he is no longer on that level to debate but this time the president has changed his mind and will attend. The biggest discussion has been as to whether Shaka Ssali should moderate the debate since NRM has been complaining that he is an FDC supporter.
The debate will start today at 8:00PM at Serena Hotel Kampala and will majorly focus on Foreign relations/policy, Peace, Security and East Africa intergration.
