National Unity Platform Kasese district registrar Samuel Masereka is missing for a week after he was picked from his home in Kasese on Friday last week.

Masereka was picked on January 7th from Kasese by a drone and his family members are worried about his safety.

According to NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, he is speculated to be kept in security operatives safe houses in Mbuya barracks where he is being ‘tortured’.

Abduction of Masereka is one of the continued abductions that have been done by security agents on various members of the National Unity Platform party ever since the 2021 General elections were concluded.

Security agencies haven’t issued any statement about the abduction of Masereka and he is yet to be produced in courts of law.

“Samuel Masereka (circled), NUP Registrar, Kasese District was picked up from Kasese in a drone Friday last week. Over a week, his whereabouts unknown. Not produced in any court. Suspected to be detained in a torture house in Mbuya. The abductions continue!” Bobi Wine said.
