First son and the new commander of the Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has come out to address rumors that were circulating about his health.
Over the past few days social media has been awash with rumors of how Muhoozi was very sick or even dead.
The rumor went ahead to allege that he had been airlifted to Nairobi for specialised medical attention.
This was after the same rumors had alleged that his father, President Museveni had also been ill and was flown to Germany after developing breathing complications.
The rumors were however watered down after the President made an appearance at Munyonyo for the World health summit which he presided over.
Attention now turned to Muhoozi’s bad health status and a number of people went ahead to share the news on social media.
The former special forces commander has however put the rumors to rest saying he’s in perfect health condition.
He said that this was the third time enemies of the state were declaring him dead in his military career.
” Some friends of mine like
@kasujja
told me that some enemies were declaring me dead, or very ill from COVID-19. I’m very well. This is the third time in my military career that enemies are claiming I’m dead. The funny thing is every time they do that Almighty God blesses me more.” Muhoozi said.
Social media users have over time been called upon to stop abusing their platforms in spreading fake news.
These news go ahead to arouse different emotions in the rest of the public some of which may be unpleasant.
