Among the arrested individuals include Herman Ainebyona who is the head of NUP team in the diaspora who was gruesomely arrested yesterday Arua while delivering materials.
“The military & police are arresting people found distributing appointment letters for our polling agents ahead of tomorrow’s election!” Bobi Wine said “In Lira, Moroto, etc, persons coordinating this are detained & materials confiscated. The EC is yet to respond to our urgent calls to intervene” he continued
Herman Ainebyona being arrested in Lira as security operatives choke him.
With appointment letters and other materials for agents confiscated by the security operatives, the National Unity Platform might end up with no polling agents leaving their votes at the mercy of presiding officers from the Electoral Commission.
