UBC Suspends Journalist Ivan Kaahwa for releasing a video that Embarrassed Prime Minister Nabbanja

Ivan Kaahwa a UBC Journalist who believed to have released the Robinah Nabbanja viral video of “Eby’okwogera bimbuze” has been suspended on orders of the Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja.

The prime minister made threats to put criminal charges on the entire UBC TV crew that was at her office doing the interview at the time the incident happened.

Kaahwa who is said to have shared the video on social media was suspended for “embarrassing” prime minister.

In the video that went viral, Hon Robinah Nabbanja is addressing media about government plans to tackle the fuel crisis.

She explains how she “Instructed” minister of energy Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa “to direct the commission of energy to investigate……” and then she pauses. She’s then heard saying “neby’okwogera bimbuze” before she rolls herself in the chair laughing.

The clip which was edited out the video that was released in the press was later leaked on social media and it went viral all over the internet.
