The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) launches the first fire rescue boat on Lake Victoria.

The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority has on Thursday 2nd December, 2020 launched a fire rescue boat on lake Victoria.

The Rigid Haull Foam Pontoon boat worth Shs 1.4b will help in securing lives of passengers on the lake in case of any fire outbreak.

On the same day, a 300-seater MV Sigulu ferry was also commissioned by H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in Namayingo District. This becomes the biggest passenger vessel in the country and will help ease transport which connects the district main land to Dolwe and Sigulu Islands.
