National Unity Platform –NUP is grieving for the death of their supporter and candidate in NUP party primary contests Katongole Badru Muhammad who died in an accident today on Friday Morning. He got an accident while heading to Ntungamo for the burial of the Muslim scholar Anas Noor Kaliisa.
Katongole Badru was one of the people who expressed interests in vying for the Bukoto Central constituency and participated in the vetting though he was not successful and losing to Kazibwe Magellan.
Party president Bobi Wine mourned for Katongole describing him a remarkable ‘force of change’
“With shock and grief, I have learnt of the death of comrade Katongole Badru Muhammad, who participated in the NUP candidate selection for MP Bukoto Central. He perished in a terrible accident this morning. On behalf of the NUP fraternity and on my own behalf, I send deep sympathies to his family, friends and all of us who knew him. What a loss to the forces of change” Bobi Wine’s condolence message read.
Burial arrangements are under preparations by his family and friends and the National Unity Platform management.
