Two weeks back, it was reported that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni had cautioned his son Lt. General Muhoozi Kainerugaba who is also the UPDF Commander of Land Forces on how he uses his Twitter handle.
Lt. Gen Muhoozi was warned to stop tweeting about issues of security and foreign affairs following complaints from various army commanders and the sensitivity in the ongoing Unrest in Eastern Congo.
Ever since the report, Muhoozi had kept his Twitter handle idle for 15 days a rare occurrence about a person who is dubbed ‘The Tweeting General’ by social media users.
In his first tweet, he appreciated the fact that he has been offline and has been seeing messages of his fans that were trying to communicate with him and promised that he’s now fully back.
To all my friends and supporters: Sorry, I have been away from the platform for some weeks. I have been busy with work. I have been receiving your messages of love and support. I am very well and I thank you for the love. pic.twitter.com/Q2lbB6njhK

He gave the reason of not being only as busy commitments and did not give a hint about the security meeting where he was cautioned about his Twitter usage.
Some of the sensitive tweets that brought mixed reactions included his support for TPLF a Tigray rebel group that is fighting the Ethiopian government and his various commentaries about the ongoing unrest in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
