The Omwana Wa’bandi concert by Radio and Weasel was a fairly successful concert last Friday at hotel Africana even though they failed to give their Mukono fans a promised show due to high debts that they failed to clear the sound company that was in charge.
However, while at Nican hotel Lweza on Entebbe for their last show, in the middle of the performance Weasel called up his mum on stage and she quickly begged the audience to forgive his sons for participating in the ‘Tubonga Nawe‘ project, a song which was geared to praise and win votes for the incumbent Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
‘Musonyiwe abaana bange , bali banonya sente’ which literally means ‘forgive my sons they were just looking for money,’ said Jose Chameleon and Weasel’s mom.
