5 Days ago the kabaka of buganda celebrated his 61 birthday in honour of launching BBS television and now his fellow Royalty the King of Toro Kingdom Omukama Rukirabasaija Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV is also celebrating his born day today.
He was born on 16th April 1992 to King Patrick David Mathew Kaboyo Olimi III and Queen Best Kemigisa Kaboyo.
Three and a half years later in 1995, Oyo ascended the throne and succeeded his father Patrick and he became the 12th ruler of the 180-year old Toro Kingdom.
Currently Oyo is the youngest ruling monarch in the whole world taking the place of King Mswati of Swaziland who waa crowned at the age of 18 years backgrounding the pre-colonial rule.
He studied as royal child with the help of his mum and as a king he was treated with high respect in England where he went for post gradual studies.
Upto date Oyo is still one of the few left kings in the left kingdoms of Buganda following the fall of the chiefdom of Bunyoro. Buganda and Busoga are the other strong kingdoms still standing in Uganda.
