Gulu University Students Set MainHall On Fire

Uganda government suffered another loss a few days ago after students of Gulu University on Wednesday evening set their Main Hall at the Main Campus of the University on blaze in a serious protest.
It’s said that the students were protesting over the delayed release of last semester’s exam results mainly from the Faculty of Education and Humanity.
After the fire was lite, police’s Fire Brigade was contacted but by the time they reached the scene fire had caught the entire building and all property was destroyed as the Guild President, Robert Mukembo condemned his fellow students for burning down the Main Hall.
“I strongly condemn the act of burning down the building. There are other ways the students could have expressed their dissatisfaction,” Mukembo said.
The burnt Main Hall was a multi-purpose building used for lectures and it also had offices.
