Former presidential candidate Joseph Kabuleeta came out in an interview with NBS TV to undermine the wearing of masks in the fight against the COVID 19 pandemic.
Masks have become a phenomen in the fight against COVID 19 globally and it’s fair to say it’s the biggest precaution in fighting the deadly disease.
However according to Kabuleeta, he doesn’t see their use and he would never put them on.
“I don’t see or even understand the use of wearing face masks in the fight against COVID 19. You won’t find me anywhere putting them on because I think they are absolutely useless,” Kabuleeta said.
He was speaking in regards of the recent opening of Churches where President Museveni ordered that only 200 people will be allowed to congregate in Churches with the observance of the SOPs.
Kabuleeta who prays from Pastor Mbonye’s Church said that they haven’t opened up and won’t because the number is very small in relation to their congregants.
Besides they don’t want to preach or congregate while putting on face masks.
His remarks will be a disappointment to the Ministry of Health and Government as they try to get as many people vaccinated to open up the economy in January.
Another city pastor Aloysius Bugingo during his church sermon over the weekend discouraged his followers from taking the jab a thing that angered Kampala minister Kabuye Kyofatogabye.
