Ugandan dancehall and reggae singer A pass has come out to to ask fans to stop comparing him to any Uganda artiste.
A pass says that Ugandans should not be pinning Ugandan singers against each other to see who is the best.
The Dididada singer adds that if the comparison is to be made, he should then be compared to only Canadian American rapper Drake.
A pass feels that Ugandans should work for one common objective which is pushing Ugandan music to greater heights.
“If you are my fan or a Ugandan music lover, don’t compare me to any Ugandan artist. The focus should be put on promoting Ugandan music.
And if the comparison thing is still lingering in your mind, please compare me to Drake. Ok hand Thank you Bye Bye,” A pass tweeted.
Comparison is however something that can’t be done away with.
People always love to pin their favorite Musicians/persons against one another to see who is the best.
This comparison although has brought unnecessary beefs between artists, it keeps the industry vibrant and competent if it’s kept entirely musical.
With the music industry being infiltrated by politics of recent, it’s difficult to keep the comparisons out.
