Uganda’s golden boy and best musical export Eddy Kenzo has added another big award to his already glittering award wardrobe.
The Stamina singer last night won the best East African artiste gong in the 2021 Afrimma awards.
Kenzo outcompeted other big artists from East Africa to this award who included the likes of Tanzanian heavyweights Diamond Platinumz, Rayvanny, Harmonize, Rwanda’s Meddy, Kenya’s Sauti Sol, Darassa among others.
Kenzo who was not present at the awards ceremony took to his social media pages to appreciate everyone who voted him and made this award achievable.
“Thank you God for making this possible for us again.
Thank you All Africa Music Awards it’s always an honor.” Eddy Kenzo posted.

He was however not the only Ugandan singer nominated as the likes of B2C, Afrie, Double S, Rema and Spice Diana had also scooped up nominations in different awards.
Kenzo was in 2020 beaten to the award by Diamond Platinumz but he made sure the repeat didn’t happen this year as he rose the Ugandan flag high.
