NTV Uganda has started investigations into an incident where a male TV fan was seen masturbating in a live video on NTV Mix Show, a night program that was aired on June 25.
In a statement released by NTV Uganda, the program and its producer have been suspended pending investigation into this awful act that happened on a TV who is PG is for all audiences.
“On Friday, This 25th June 2021, during the live broadcast of the NTV Mix Show, one of the audience members appeared to haven indecently exposed himself,” NTV said in a statement
“We have suspended the director and promoter of the show and an inquiry into the matter is under way” the statement continues.
NTV Uganda cautious of the act which is below the minimum broadcasting standards responded by writing to regulatory body – The Uganda Communications Commission, reporting about the incident and steps that have been taken to rectify the error.

NTV also requested the UCC to aid them in identifying and getting the individual for criminal prosecution.
“We….have reported the matter to Uganda Communications Commission (UCC). We have also appealed to UCC for assistance in identifying and prosecuting the individual involved.”
Production, promotion, storing, airing and watching of pornography content is illegal in Uganda according to the Anti-Pornography Act (2014) which makes the person responsible for the indecent display on NTV liable to the law.
In December 2018, NTV Uganda’s sister TV Spark TV while on a Live Talk Show program, guests who included Hon. Kato Lubwama who was by then Rubaga South MP and events promoter Bajjo involved themselves in a brawl which resulted into UCC requesting the Nation Media Group TV to suspend the program, the host – Rwamiti Miles and the producer.
UCC hasn’t responded to the incidence neither have they confirmed to assist NTV in hunting the culprit and bringing him to face the law.
